For this Imperial stout we put together a mix of some of our favourite speciality malts to produce a huge malt base. We then blended in single origin coffee beans that meld with the malt profile to create an intensely indulgent stout.

Can from Dove Street Inn, Ipswich. Aroma has coffee with rich dark chocolate and a boozy edge that makes me think of liqour chocs. Dark and glossy. Foamy tan head, which is sadly short-lived. Rich and boozy start in flavour. Mirrors the aroma, with added coffee berries and a roastiness. Medium-heavy bodied. Oily. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. Rich and boozy.
