Pours very dark caramelly brown. Medium, creamy, off-white head. Smell is tad malty, mostly phenolic. some spices. very mild dark breaddy undertone. Hops provide a counterbalance, so the perception isn't instant sweetness, but they don't show themselves specifically. Taste is sharp, dark malts ( dark bread) very, very metallic, sharp spiced edge, mild bitterness, Some toast. Extremely overcarbonated ( sigh) medium low mouthfeel.
