Diep donkerbruin bier zonder schuim.
Aroma van donker fruit, koffie en vanille.
Smaak is vol, zoet, koffie-achtig en vol van vanille.
Nasmaak is zoet en fruitig maar ook plakkerig.

Deep dark brown colour, beige foam. Nose of green apples, varnish, berries, raisins. Messy, alcoholic and unbalanced. Not good.

Bottle shared at RBBWG 2023. Opaque black color, virtually no head. Aroma is boozy and green apples. Flavor is similar: green apples and booze. Bleh. Way over the top and unripe. What is the point? Getting people drunk? Stupid.

Pours black, no head. Scent is acetaldehyde. boozy, harsh, unpleasant. Taste is sharp, acetaldehyde, glue, booze, roasty, alcohol tastes spirit-like, more like it's an added alcohol than an intensified beer.

Clear dark brown beer, no head. Aroma: dirty, very oxidized, very weird, this is not good, more oxidation notes, dusty, melon peel, dirty, don’t like it, some raisins indeed, port notes, but overall a dirty unpleasant smell. MF: soft carbon, full body. Taste: sweet and sugary start, ersatz chocolate, more sugary, oxidized, malty, very sugary. Aftertaste: alcohol, caramel, sugary, some chocolate, flavour is ok but not very good. Smell is bad.

Fles 33cl thuis. Rozijn, pruim, donker fruit, flink zoet, rode bes, fruitig licht medicinaal, boozy, bourbontonen, caramel. (12-11-2023).

Fles gekregen van BartvG, geprobeerd met LiekevdV en Roelzie. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Het aroma is fruitig en wat bessen en rozijnen achtig. De smaak is vol fruitig, zacht zoet en licht zuur. Helaas mis ik de bourbon volledig.

14/1/2023. Bottle at the Haderslebener tasting. Pours black with a minimally bubbly head. Aroma of dark chocolate, raisins, wood, roasted malt, biscuit, boozy notes. Medium sweetness, alcohol bitters. Medium to full body, sticky, very soft carbonation. Smooth finish, with long boozy warmth. Lovely sipper.

ABV: 14.9%. Clear dark red brown colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, oak, barrel, bourbon - barrel, berries - fruit - raisin, ruff. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, raisin, dark fruit, dark malt, bourbon, barrel, oak. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light to moderate alcoholic. [20230114]

Bottle @ Haderslebener beer tasting. No head. Color is close to black. Aroma and taste are rich caramel, roast malt, dried fruits, , bourbon, alcohol and has a nice warming finish.
