Pours clear blonde, medium sized white, tad creamy, head. medium-low stability. Smell is phenolic, typical Belgian yeast, some esthers. tad sweetness from the malts. Taste is very phenolic, sharp, very metallic, medium to medium high bitterness. overly phenolic. Not a fan. Medium body, medium high to migh carbo.

Bottle. Clear blond color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly citrus, some herbs or spices. Didn’t really pay attention as my 1-year-old demanded to be listened to. And it’s quite boring anyway so I don’t really care. Decent body, firm a bit fizzy carbonation. Meh.

Typical Belgian top-fermented blonde, with medium thick, stable, snow white head and orange blonde colour, almost clear, filtered. Aroma of peach, caramel, tomato, grass, honey, liquorice, also a bit lightstruck. Taste begins neutral with mild carbonation, then lightly malty with some yeasty spicy notes, finish with a brief and mild hop bitterishness. Thirst-quencher, not much more. Perhaps an alias of Petrus Blond?

33 cl. bottle @ Edison, Koksijde. Deep golden with a thin white head. Sweet aroma and a sweet taste without any real depth. Shallow like a real blonde.
