Deze fruitige amberkleurige saison combineert een aangename fruitigheid met een droge hoppigheid. Voeg hieraan de vanille- en honingsmaken van de bourbon toe en je hebt een uitmuntend saison. Negen maanden gerijpt in één JD vat.…

Pours dark clear amber/copper. Small white head. Smell is weak, bit spiced, no real bourbon or wood shows, and not the typical saison, phenolic spice. Smells fresh, and a tad herbal trough it's spicyness. Taste is sharp, boozy, really unblending bourbon on top. kinda astrigent. Tastes clash very , very hard here. Grainy. not good at all. Goes trough a medicinal thing, by mixing 2 colliding tastes, rather than medicinal from hops .

Bourbon nose. Clear brilliant deep amber colour, tall beige frothy head, dissipates slowly, thin layer remains, light lacing. Rich aroma, toasted malts, caramel, bourbon, wood, vanilla, light honey, touch of wood; retronasal wood. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, caramel, followed by rather sharp spicy notes, wood, bourbon, alcohol notes. Sweetbitter aftertaste, dry wood, medium body, kinda thin oily texture, soft carbonation. Mixed feelings, colour and aroma splendid, pity that taste and especially the aftertaste don't match that accordingly.
