It’s January, so we made a big DIPA to celebrate the new year. This west coaster was dry hopped with heavy stacks of Eclipse, Galaxy, and El Dorado for dank notes of ripe grapefruits and passionfruit, with a little pine. A touch of Vienna malt for some bready backbone (no crystal here though), quite crisp, with sensible bitterness. Fresh!

Hazy pale amber. Just a couple of bubbles. Malty up front, chewy, mild bitterness and light fruitiness. Is okay but neither malt nor hop has much brightness.

Clearish gold body and good foam. Aroma is dank candy hops, a little rancid, a little too thick. Taste is nice dank hops and caramel, chewy yet not overbearing. Ends smooth and dry. A well made thick IPA, balanced in just the right way.

Can from Jak's Parkcrest, Burnaby
Blond colour, hazy to cloudy. Nice aroma of tropical fruit. Lean mouthfeel, very little sweetness left, gentle malt, followed by a pretty good hopping, plenty of tropical fruit, and a nice zesty punch.
Excellent.

16oz @ Sales Force. Appearance: hazy straw with a white head. Aroma: piney and citrusy. Taste: along the same lines, moderately bitter. Overall: ok.

473mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out a nice piney hop character, light resins, and biscuity malt. Flavour is more on the spicy side, with spicy piney hops, crisp biscuity malt, and some earthiness. Spicy, lightly piney, mineraly finish. Not the most pronounced or dialed in hop expression, but quite good overall.

Clearish gold with almost no head. Dank and some nice mandarin. Dank, citrus peel and a bitter candy citrus finish. Booze comes through.

Poured from the tap. Slightly hazy gold with small white head. Balance of citrus, tropical, and pine hops, a touch mellow in execution, but decent nonetheless.
