This perfectly balanced mellow dark beer has body and depth. It has a fruity, toasted aroma with hints of chocolate, citrus and roasted malts on the tongue. A darker shade of pale!
Malt: Golden Promise, Crystal Malt, Brown Malt, Black Malt
Whole Leaf Hops: WGV/Goldings, Fuggles, Savinjski Goldings

Bottle. Dark red with a light tan head. Singed dark sugars, some roasted and nutty notes, spices and flowers. Quite fizzy. Cereal and chicory, dark sugars. Bitterness is firm but slightly blunted as it struggles through.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours dark brown, near black. Rich aroma of sweetness, hay, toast and slight burnt hints. Dry with fairly light body, medium bitter with slight bready, sweet taste, bitter finish. Excellent balance in its simplicity.

[50cl bottle from Sainsbury’s, Bracknell.] A glossy near black pour with a fast fading caramel coloured head; aroma of roasted grains; rich in the mouth with a sweet roasted grain taste and a touch of coffee; than a dry earthy finish with a light hoppy bitterness and lingering treacle toffee. A nice mild.

0,5l bottle @ One Pint Pub. Pours very dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is dry roasted malts with some coffee. Flavor is dry roasted malts with some coffee, hops. Decent.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Near black, small head. Aroma of urnt toast and hay. Dry with light body and crisp mouthfeel. Burnt bread, leafs and hay. Mid bitter finish. Quaffable and pleasant.

Taster from Dantomlinson - Cheers! 🍻. Creamy tan head left a spotty cover on a rich mahogany coloured still body. Malt & oat aroma. Medium bodied, soft on the palate with a tingle on the back. Malt, roasted, coal, bitter & berry tastes with lovely tangy finish. Nice - I'd like to try this on Cask.

Mørk brun med brunt skum. Lukter svisker, malt og sjokolade. Mild og forholdsvis lite kullsyre. Maltekstrakt, sjokolade og noe nøtter.
