33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown, hazy. Tan head. Aroma is toasted malt. Breadish. Sweet, dense malty. Caramelish to breadish. Bitter, roasted. Dark malty. Lingering roasted and breadish to sweet caramelish finish.

Buddel (Danke, Martin!): Hazy, amber coloured, big, loose and stable brownish head, spicy herbal to flowery hoppy nose, almost traces of peppermint detectable (!), not overly sweet (dark) malt in the background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, very soft; toasty-chocolatey aromas in the smooth and lingering bitter-sweet finish. Chapeau! Even though a modern Doppelbock: Tasty, well balanced and very well drinkable...

Schoppe Bräu Darg Bogg - Gesellenstück, Fläschchen aus Ganicks Flaschbierschop. - Kastanienbraun, trüb; reichlich beigefarbener Schaum. - In der Nase kerniges Toastmalz und satte, tief zitrusfruchtige Hopfenherbe mit Grapefruit (Columbus und Simcoe vermerkt das Etikett). - Im Antrunk sattes Müncher und Toastmalz von brotiger Tiefe mit feiner Karamelsüße. Frische, kräftig aromatische aber nicht zu bittere zitrusfruchtige und herbale Hopfung, Grapefruit und Harz. Milder rezent, vollmundig, weich. Gediegen hopfenbitterer Abgang. - Sehr aromatisch zitrusfruchtig, sozusagen IPA-artig gehopfter Bock, kernig malztief und doch frisch. Klasse! (11.2.2021.)
