Dark cream head, retreating over jet-black beer. Dirty socks, coffee, gingerbread, liquorice, tobacco. Sweet (as in too...), tobacco; finish is thankfully a bit drier. Chocolate, Pumpernickel, dark green leaves. Full bodied, alcoholheat; bit sticky feel, good carbonation. Just a bit less sweet, Kees, please? Than it would be really great, and more of a Baltic Porter, instead of a contemporary strong dark syrup. Txs to Stef!

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 25 Aug 2022) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, liquorice, coffee and black bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, liquorice, black bread, a touch of vanilla and a mild roasty bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Fairly mellow mouthfeel and quite balanced for its strength. Still quite powerful. Very nice.
