Meet the Kirschtorte, our beer version of a Black Forest Gateau. Rich cacao husks and tart cherries create this creamy, dark dessert stout. A sweet salute to the Cobbler, where our brewer Roddy often indulges in a scramble. Who says you can’t have your cake and drink it too?

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours darkest brown to black with a decent tan head. The aroma is juicy cherry, tart, tangy, cacao, roasted malt, coffee grounds, jam and dull toffee. The taste is tarter than expected, juicy, tart cherry juice is the main player then eventually drops out, puckering, dull roast, touch of cacao and coffee with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and average carbonation. In comparison to the other ratings seems that this has got more sour. Cuts through it. Drinks easy. Decent.
