Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A clear dark golden beer with a mid-sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of medium sweet malt, grainy malt, ripe fruits. Taste of strong grainy malt, strong pale fruits, grains, mild sweetness, average..

Smooth fresh beginning. Round and smooth, mild grainy, hints of caramelly malt. Not too deep, typical Festbock with not too much depth.

Thnx to Stefan ! Pours light amber, or darker golden. Rather clear. Small, medium-fluffy and rather stable white head. Smell is very, very unintense. For those that really seek , some crisp, toasty character can be found. Even some metallic notes, although the lack of complexity might present me things that aren’t really there. Taste is decently full though, in contradiction to the taste. Some maltyness ( rich, medium toastyness, as well as a rather buttery sticky sweet undertone. Still get a metallic note that makes the beer taste a bit ’off’ if combined with all the other things. Not sure if an actual off flavor, or just a clash of tastes I can’t really enjoy. very low amount of bitterness. Not much in the retronasal aspect. Aftertaste is really weak, I do have some buttery and metallic notes. Not sure if this one had dyacethyl, or the butteryness is malt-driven, but the end result makes it a beer I didn’t really seem to enjoy. Still happy to have tried it though, as it makes me a bit more familiar with a style I don’t really have much experience in just yet. Agreeable body and carbonation for the ABV

Clear medium amber colour, good frothy off-white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma is malty, fruity, apricot, orange peel, yeast. Taste is medium sweet and bitter, malty, fruity, with long duration. Medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, mild dry finish, fruity and spicy notes. Smooth malty and fruity Bock, interesting and nice, very drinkable.

330 ml bottle from Ammersin 5, Vienna.
Golden, clear body, with a big, creamy, a bit lacing, white head.
Really interesting, smooth aroma of dried fruits, honey, bread, funk, grass, fruity hops, spices.
Tastes of honey, bread, fruity and zesty hops, grass, some alcohol.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes bitter, dry, astringent, a bit alcohol warming, zesty, sweet malty, even subtle pine notes.

Tasty, unique Bock! The nose is really lovely and far beyond most beers from this style I’ve had. Taste is also nice, quaffable, but not as great as the nose, more common for this style. Overall another great Bock from Schnaitl.
