33 cl. can @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Black with a thin beige head. Roasted malts aroma with some bourbond notes. Sweet taste with a low bitter sticky bourbon finish. Great stuff.

Can. Color: Black, thin beige head. Aroma: Roasted malt, fudge, vanilla, boozy. Taste: Caramel, fudge, roasted malt, milk chcolate, vanilla, sugary, boozy notes. Hints of nuts. Medium to over medium sweet, moderate to over moderate bitterness. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Nicely balanced. Reminds me a bit of roasted marshmallows. On the sweet side for me but overall quite nice.

0.33 l can from 'Speciaalbierpakket', best before April 2024. Black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, minimally fruity aroma of dark chocolate, licorice, coffee, some bourbon and a touch of dark fruits. Quite sweet, malty, gently roasty, a little fruity taste of dark chocolate, coffee, toasted hazelnut, light licorice, some bourbon and traces of dark fruits, followed by a short, quite roasty-bitter, slightly earthy, gently boozy, minimally woody finish. Medium to full body, slightly effervescent, minimally fizzy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very tasty, well-balanced RIS, quite intense as well, could be smoother and thicker though.
