This is the only lager we make that is decocted, which is an extra-special process where part of the mash is boiled, which gives it an incomparable depth of malt flavor, without a lot of heaviness or sweetness.

Finally a nice day in Beaver County PA for a beer outside. Was getting cabin fever from the exceptionally cold days, whew. Well, this 2$ beer from a can pour nearly clear yellow but does have a slight haze. Nice head fades to a thin white carpet. Nose is quite clean and macro lager like. First big swig in the sun is showing a lot of pale lager character, yes it does have fest qualities, but its quite laid back in that aspect. Good co2 level within. In the middle, I'm starting to get more of that marzen feel, and it has a mild bitterness level that keeps rising. Good finish. One of the better, more civilized, fest beers I've had in a while. Good beer for one of the first springlike days in western pa!

Honey color with a medium sized foamy white head that left good lacing. Buttery, tangy and off. Medium finish and body.

Aromas are mainly toffee malt with a little hop, yeast and wet grain. Flavors are similar to nose, on the sweet side up front going towards a easy bitter finish. Good body and carbonation. Decent but not great beer.

very dark golden color, bordering on amber. Rich sweet malty nose with lots of dough and spicy hops. Full bodied, sweet, rounded, spicy. Medium bitterness. Excellent take on the style.

Clear light coppery amber body, huge pillowy cream head. Nose crisp and sweet, floral and toasty, grassy and caramely. Crisp body, on the dry side, emphasizing a floral, herbal, almost metallic hoppiness balanced by light, biscuity, caramely malts. Smooth.
