Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Smells like burnt plastic. Aroma is dark malt, tart red berries including strawberries, chocolate, with notes of plastic and rubber. Flavour is awkwardly tart and sourish with some bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. An inexcusably clumsy beer from To Øl and the first I've rated under 3/5.

(Bottle) Black colour with lasting, frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with dark chocolate, caramel, sweet liquorice, honey and raspberries. Malty, roasted, slightly fruity taste with notes of dark chocolate, honey, liquorice, orange peel, strawberries, raspberries and a mild roasty bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, mainly dry. Rich, tasty and interesting, with the strawberries giving it a slightly tart fruit character. Expected it to be sweeter, but luckily it's not. On the strange side, but quite nice.

Bottle, 10C. Black with a large light tan head that lasts OK. Aroma of strawberry syrup, indifferent chocolate, biscuit. After a while, the honey comes through. 7- A bit oily, moderate carbonation. Oh, the berries are tart. Underneath there's some chocolate and biscuit and an odd flatness to the palate. Has the complexity of a drip tray. Poor.

On tap at Mel's Craft Beer & Diner, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out tart strawberries, with a bit of molasses and light toasted malt. Flavour brings out tart strawberries, earthy yeast, and toasted malt. Bit of powdery cocoa. What a jumbled mess - it's unlike To Ol to release something this poorly calibrated.

750ml bottle shared by Finn. Dense fawn-coloured head, rich lacing, near-black body. Smell of berry fruits and sweet malts. Similar taste of semi-dry berry fruits partially offset by dark chocolate impact. Jam-like ending. Fine depth. Nice without further excitements. ((Rating session with janeriks, Snegurochka, Finn and TheCellerar, Tromsø 15.03.2018).

Bottled 750ml (Systembolaget)
Dark brown colour, good brownish head. Aroma is toasted with lactic strawberries.Medium-bodied. A bit toasted but some what berryish, lactic, tartish and chocolaty. Tartish strawberry dominates too much. Not much honey here. Hard to drink.
