Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours clear reddish brown with a creamy, tan head. Nice mix of cocoa and milky coffee in the nose, moderate roast. Medium sweet flavourbwith touches of dried fruits, leather and Earth, bittersweet cocoa. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with a little ashy roast, baking cocoa, leathery berries. Good porter.

On tap @ brewery. Black appearance with a lasting creamy brown head. Coffee and cocoa in the nose and a touch of smoke. A touch fruity. Light anise and a little metallic. Body is a bit thin but still pretty tasty.

Dark ruby with a fairly thick lace - quite a nice nose, with notes of molasses, hazelnut, cookie, smoke, chocolate, cream - full and creamy in the mouth - bitter up front, dry mineral, cocoa, dark malt - no astringency, though - hazelnut, vanilla, and roast late - a mild sweetness, but mostly dry - finish of light smoke and minerality - a little huskiness late, but it is barely perceptible - overall a really solid porter.
