Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty fresh coffee aroma. Roasted malty coffee flavor with weak rubbery hints. Has a roasted malty coffee and caramel finish.

Sampled at the brewery. Pours an inky black with some beige head. Nose of coffee, cola, malt, nuts, crackers, toast. Flavors of coffee, brown sugar, malt, cracker, toast, molasses. Dry, roasty finish. Very solid.

For those that do not know, Huckleberry Roasters is a microroastery that is located right next door to the brewery - they’re decent, and their beans are pretty much what save this beer - dark ruby pour - frothy lace - nose and flavor are very much dominated by the coffee, which is fine with me - medium roastiness, mild acidity, the beans have hints of smoke, vanilla, berries - the malt is lightly astringent, but this one was okay.

Tap @ Old Mutual Friend. Pours a reddish orange appearance with a little head. Foldger’s, bitter coffee bean, roasty, a touch chocolatey aroma. Watery, old coffee, light toffee, very bland, bitter flavor.
