More than a mouthful. A bigger and bolder version of one of the most popular variants from the Seasonal Milkshake Stout Series. This is a unique brew that surprises the senses combining the distinct aroma and flavor of blueberries layered with the familiar taste of Milkshake Stout™ and a pleasant aftertaste of pancakes.

Can from Beerdome. Aroma is roasted malt with artificial blueberry, candy, marshmallow, caramel, milk chocolate, biscuits, fudge, toffee, cocoa, touch of coffee. Rather sweet flavour with a decent roasty bitterness. Body is above medium. Like a stereotypical american breakfast, a bit artificial but kinda fun. In a way this reminds me of the kind of diabetes-inducing blueberry muffins you get at cheap US motels under the guise of continental breakfast.

15/IX/20 - 1Pt. can @ ElManana’s Lobster BBQ Tasting, BB: n/a (2020-922) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the can!

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, lots and lots of blueberries, blueberry cheesecake, some cough syrup. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots and lots of blueberries all right, sugary, very intense, blueberry pie, quite some vanilla, acidic touch. Aftertaste: blueberry jam, chocolate, more blueberry jam, sugary touch, quite some vanilla, a little too sweet to be really great, but very enjoyable overall.

Can sampled at THT December. Almost black with dark beige head. Sweet blueberry candies, milk chocolate, pancakes, vanilla, caramel, dank fatty vanilla cookies, light burnt toffee. Medium sweet and solid bitter. Over medium bodied. Seems artificial and burnt.

Xmas THT. Can. Sweet malts, massive aroma’s, bubblegum, plastic, massive over the top. Roasted malts, buttery, brown sugar. I get the idea but where’s the beer? This is just a chemistry lab on wonky wheels. Massive sweet, quite bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. Sickly creamy aroma crap....That pleases the senses.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 7/22/2019. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, maple syrup, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toffee, marshmallow, nuts, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of blueberries, lactose, cocoa, dark/roast/bready malt, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy blueberries, fruit skin, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, maple syrup, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toffee, marshmallow, nuts, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal, grassy, spicy hop; and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of blueberries, fruit skin, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, maple syrup, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, toffee, marshmallow, nuts, toasted dark/brown bread, molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of blueberries, lactose, cocoa, dark/roast/bready malt, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying, acrid, astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky/tangy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.2%. Overall this is an awesome fruited imperial milk stout! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of blueberries, lactose, cocoa, dark/roast/bready malt, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the ABV, with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Awesome balance of authentic blueberries, lactose, cocoa, and rich malt complexity; with solid earthy hop balance. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected. Just as impressive as the base beer, but richer and more complex.
