Minnesota Trip Beer #44. Keg at the brewery, 5/8/16. Tasted in spring, rated in fall! Hazy orange, thin creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of strong yeast, citrus, banana. The taste is yeast, wheat, banana, spice. Medium bodied, assertive carbonation.

Pours a very cloudy, light, pale yellow, with nothing in the way of head. Aroma is dominated by a pronounced sour banana smell. Flavor is likewise mainly banana and fruit esters. Full, solid mouthfeel. This is a very good take on a Weiss beer, maybe not as complex as some, but one I’d definitely try again.

Bottle @ Brad’s house Minneapolis, courtesy of bnielsen13. Thanks a bunch Brad! Pours a cloudy light yellow appearance with a white head. Rich clove, bready yeasty, spicy, light banana aroma. Somewhat light, quite estery, clove, light banana, lemon, somewhat chewy flavor. Ok.

22 oz bottle purchased at Zipps in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The pour is a fully hazed light orange with a small 1/4 inch white head. The aroma is a somewhat sharp grain wheat, along with clove and some dry grass. The taste is the wheat grain, much softer than the nose, blended nicely with the clove and grass. The palate is light bodied, un-filtered mouth feel, soft carbonation, bit of mineral with a somewhat watery finish. Simple, straight forward beer, enjoyable. I like hefe’s that don’t throw off too much banana and bubblegum; this one fit that bill.

On tap at Republic. Pours a cloudy pale yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of clove with spice an d sweet wheat. Flavor is sweet with wheat up front with wheat up front with banana and clove in the finish.
