A caramel centered stout accentuated by Ridge Runner French Roast coffee. Instead of simply adding coffee to a stout, we build a stout around the coffee. Coarse ground coffee beans are added in the conditioning tank. Carefully selected coffee adds notes of rich chocolate and toffee to this robust stout.

I thought I tasted this can before, oh well, here goes again. Somewhat metallic olfactory.Very nice pour, just like the better nitro stouts, but its not! Big foaming tan head. Taste is big coffee of course. However, it hides its almost 7% rather well. Burnt coffee and damp burnt campfire wood flavors abound. Decent co2 fer sure, better than most coffee beers. Its beer and its coffee, there you have it!

Refrigerated 12 oz. aluminum can poured into a cup. Black with small off-white head. Aroma is coffee, medium body, lower carbonation, and pretty good small-bubble lacing. Taste is coffee and chocolate. Nice stout.

Tasty java stout, a nice rolling wave of strong, acidic coffee atop a strong chocolate stout base. Coffee cherries, dark fruit, and anise all pop up along the way, while the finish lays down a smooth, espresso-tinted moderately bitter fade. Enormous mocha nose begs for you to start quaffing. Strong black pour with brown edges and a permanent tan head giving off tons of lace. Perky texture could use a smidgen more heft, but otherwise a lovely pint.

Thnx to Ster. Pours black, small grey head. Smell is bit sharp, some coffee notes, mild maltyness, almost a plastic like collision ( way less bad than it sounds ) Taste is rather full, some coffee, mild sweetness, bit of lactose. Not bad at all.

12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 11/4/2016. Pours nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty coffee, caramel, toffee, vanilla, cream, toasted dark bread, light smoke/char/dark fruit, herbal, light pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty coffee, caramel, toffee, vanilla, cream, toasted dark bread, light smoke/char/dark fruit, herbal, light pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty coffee, caramel, toffee, vanilla, cream, toasted dark bread, smoke, char, herbal, light pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance, and zero astringent hop/roast flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from hop/roast bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/silky, and fairly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.5%. Overall this is a fantastic American style coffee stout! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Amazing malt complexity and nutty/fruity coffee presence; with balancing hop character. A highly enjoyable offering.

Sampled from a 22 oz can this beer poured a black color with an enormous creamy brown head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was strong brewed coffee with light notes of vanilla and cocoa. The flavor was bitter and roasty with vanilla, brewed coffee, floral hops, smoke and hints of dark fruit. Quite nice.

Tap at Jackie O’s. Sweet, lots of brown sugar sweetness. Creamy and smooth on the palate. The coffee balances it well. Good.

On tap at Jackie O’s. Body is a deep brown with aromas of coffee and chocolate. The beer is a little like a thin and light Espresso Yeti or something. Really solid.
