At estaminet de brouwerij. Pours dark caramelly brown. Small ring of white foam. Smell is rather weak. Taste is bit bitter, chocolaty malts. Very mild, yet very complex sweetness. Some caramel, some earthyness. Nice aged beer, without to many signs of age, actually.

15/VIII/2012 33cl @ Internationaal Streekbierenfestival (Zwevegem) - BB: n/a (2012-940) Thanks to Erwin for sharing all the beers together!
Little cloudy red brown beer, aery off-white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit chemical, caramel, brown sugar, incense, liquorish. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: caramel, pretty smoky (I kid you not), lots of sugar, some mocha, bit of alcohol. Aftertaste: lots of sugar, bit smoky, some coffee, overripe fruits, caramel, quite alcoholic.
Note: despite the website from Flanders Events states that their mission is to introduce people to new beers from smaller breweries (etc.), they at first refused to tell me where the beer was made. "Oh, just some small brewery, I'm sure you've never heard of it before." It was only after incisting for a long time, that they told me it was from "Dubocq", and then looking at the case, they corrected: "oh no, it's from De Cock". Great job, guys.
