West Coast hardcore took punk rock one step further. Faster, harder, and even more aggressive–drums and guitars combusting into barely controlled chaos. Stirred by that unruly sound, we bring you Controlled Chaos West Coast IPA. Double dry-hopped and heaving with a cacophony of citrusy hop flavor, Chaos finishes dry and with a touch of bitterness, just like the music that inspired it.

Can. Gusher. Dark yellow colour with light haze and lasting fluffy head. Aroma and flavour have citrus zest and tropical fruit juice on top of a full bodied caramel malt base.

Pours a clear, copper gold, with smallish head. Aroma is grass, citrus, hops. Flavor follows. Clean, crisp mouthfeel.

12oz can. Resinous, old school IIPA aroma. Pretty decent bitterness. Doesn't quite have the body, sort of seems dextrose pushed to me. Has a lot more heart than most hazies. A pinch soft around the edges, but overall a nice West Coast IPA, full bodied but still drinkable.

Amber with a large foamy white head that lingered and left decent lacing. Earthy, fruity and floral hops. Long earthy finish. Medium body.

Taster showing deep gold with sparse white foam.
The nose shows moderately intense notes of pineapple and pine with hints of light lemon.
The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Lightly pineapple forward with a moderate pine bitterness on the finish.

The aromas are a mix of resin, citrus hops with caramel malt and a touch floral. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, bittersweet but the hops seem old. Canned on 13 May 22.

Can - lightly hazy gold - thick, fluffy, lasting head - straight up classic west coast ipa - dry, citric, peppery - some sweet undercurrents of berry through the middle before it dries out and gets nice and bitter in the finish - yes, please.
