It was a pleasure to host our friends at Turning Point to make a juicy Hopfenweizen, bursting with hoppy tropical fruit flavours. Rational Haze drinks with a nice creamy body, while a traditional hefeweizen yeast strain adds subtle, spicy intrigue. We combined our dry-hop techniques to create the most fresh, vibrant aromas of citrus and pineapple.

Can for a Siren online tasting, thanks to Kenny. It pours cloudy luminous golden with a decent white cap. The aroma is fresh and vibrant, touch of green dank vibes, Burt's of tropical fruits, pineapple, mango, peach, but also a touch of banana, so has a nice Pina colada vibe going down and just a touch of warming clove spice. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, touch of green bitterness, weedy, sponge cake, tropical fruit vibes, banana action, pineapple, twist of citrus, floury bread, yellow plum, white peach, warming spice and a hint of alcohol with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, massaging carbonation. Like this one a lot. Nice fresh modern hops on a wheat base. Tasty.

440ml can. Cloudy pale yellow, white head. Aroma of herbal, spicy, banana-y esters, citrusy hops. Taste is a big mixed bag of herbal, spicy, wheaty, banana-y yeasty esters with citrusy lemon/lime hops, a really nice combination too, bittersweet leaning more to the sweet side. Medium bodied.

Panda at home, thanks to Fergus, 27/04/22. Hazed golden orange with a decent just off white cap. Nose is herb, orange zest, trace of pineapple, banana, yeast esters, grass. Taste comprises mixed tropical fruits, mango lassi, banana bread, clove, herb, hedgerow, light white peppery spice, mellow yeast esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with balanced juice laden hop bitterness. Decent Hopfenweisse.

Can from Bridgend Service Station. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of lemon, lime and straw. Flavour of flower petals and lemon. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Heavily hopped - tastes more like a NEIPA than most hopfenweisse beers I’ve tried.
