Motueka hops and Nectaron hop oil combine to create an NZ Pale that we think is pretty damn unique. Juicy, zesty and lively with big citrus and tropical pineapple flavours. It tastes awesome. Anything else is Stuff and Nonsense.

Growler from LCB. Light hazed yellow-gold with small white top. Aroma of bread dough, melon, citrus rind, grains. Taste has a sweet stone and tropical fruit balanced by a grassy and mineral finish with reasonable bitterness. Near medium bodied, semi-dry. No wow factor but well made.

Very slightly hazy gold with a bubbly white head and a soft tropical fruit aroma. Soft and semi-creamy with fruity notes, some citrus bitterness, maybe a hint of pine and a dry bittersweet finish

17/2/2023. Can from New Zealand Beer Collective. Shared at SBGP1. Pours hazy pale straw gold with a large foamy white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, grass, pineapple, touch of herb. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, slightly chalky and frothy. Husky fruit finish. Quite enjoyable.

Can from Sainsbury's Supermarket, Salford. Quite hazy golden with a small creamy head. Citrus-hoppy throughout with some slightly understated but fruity enough tropical flavours.

440ml can. Poured an unclear light amber with a thin white head. The aroma is earthy malts, light citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a smooth, earthy mineral, herbal, light orange citrus palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Tasted flat and stale which prompted me to look at the best before date on the bottom of the can which was nothing more than a bunch of dots and completely unreadable. Pretty pattern tho! It was only purchased a couple of months ago. In a word, disappointing.

440ml can as part of a delivery from New Zealand Beer Collective. drunk at home. Light to mid-gold, hazy with a slight rocky white head. Smells of fresh juicy pineapple, some light vanilla notes. Taste is hop, hop, hop… sweet and juicy, more pineapple, sweet malty character behind. Light honey notes in the finish, some oats. Light to medium carbonation, body is a bit watery. It’s a lovely pale, maybe not that memorable but certainly nice to drink in the moment.

Panda at home, thanks to Fergus, 07/01/23. Almost clear golden copper with a white cap that clears edgewards. Nose is melon, orange peel, herb, citric tinged straw, tangerine. Taste comprises light stoned fruits, melon, grass, orange peel, soft malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close spiked with modest hop bitterness. Fine ... stuck in 3rd gear somewhat and lacking hop expression.
