4-pack from Whole Paycheck. Mojito glass @home. Tall, fizzy, quickly crashing head. Dusty(more so murky), pale straw gold. Nose is sulfur, watermelon rind & an unidentifiable sweetness. Taste is predominately saline & dead yeast, with a back-end of bitter apple core & watermelon rind. Sparkly, chewy, acidic & lacking solid tartness, noticeable booze. Brand seems very hit or miss.

Ultra clear and oddly white tinted, super pale coloured body that shows a faint sliver of gold, but this is clear, with a faint head that fades immediately to nothing and has a pure white glow. Aroma of apples, lemons, citrus, grain, hay, yeast, bread and way more appples - just about nothing interesting going on in the nose - definitely no watermelon and even further from anything 'saison-y' or yeastie here. Ultra-light bodied; Dry flavour with a faint bit of grass (perhaps some saison notes, if you will) with a hay, herbal and distinctly green apple flavour that shows just about nothing else additional, and no sweetness at all from this is evident. Aftertaste is dry, grassy and showing the apple notes, with just about nothing else. Overall, a pretty poor cider that I wanted to like and want to have something distinct about this, in terms of yeast or fruits, but it's plain - mild and underwhelming throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Trader Joe's in Bailey's Crossroads (Falls Church), Virginia on 14-September-2018 for US$3,13 sampled at home in Washington on 19-March-2019.

$3.30 can, Wine Warehouse. Pours pale golden with lots of bubbles, no head. Stinks - it really does. It has a watermelon undertone, but above that is rotting meat/trash and garbage water. I really, after smelling this, don't want to drink it. I can't remember rating something a 1 in aroma before (I may have, but I don't remember it). Ughh, here goes... Flavor is tart watermelon rind, light apple, green leaf. It's not bad, but that aroma, even sipping this, kills it.

Apple and watermelon nose, pear hints. Clear, nearly colorless. Tangy watermelon jolly ranchers. Light body, soft carbonation. Not as gimmicky as I expected. I could actually have several of these.
