Bottle from Covenhoven. NB goblet @ home. Imported. 4.9% abv. Bottle bomb. Clear, brown more than amber. Smells of macerated/browned apples, hay, faded cinnamon. Lux, creamy bubbles. Melted browned apples, core, herbs, oxidized cider, wood, faint lemon, general barn foulness. Sweeter than what you might normally want. A very solid French cider at less than $10/bottle.

Nice sweet apple flavor with notes of funky bleu cheese on the palate and nose

Corked bottle from Auchan, Quatre Temps, La Défense, Paris
Blond color; like the sister bottle (Brut) this one as well has a very high carbonation and evident perlage, but also a small head retention. The aroma is peculiar, it reminds at times the Champagne and manure, sulfites. It’s an elegant semi-sweet, with light fruit presence, a bit more wood and tannins, and light sulfites too. Very strange, controversial, but not unpleasant.
