Bottle from Tispy in Brooklyn. Duvel tulip. 01/18 on the side of the cork along with some bees. Loud cork, but all neat. Very, very bubbly pour for a mead. Not quite clear/slightly dulled yellow gold. Smells of tart skin, grassy, warm & waxy. Sizzles on the tongue. Bitter, core-y & slightly oaky apples, mildly tart, olives, leaves, acidity that sneaks up on you with your first burp. Ever slight slickness once it's been gone a second or two. Finishes bitter, a little lemon, milder then 10%. Carbonation continues to work hard. Slightly rough around the edges, but a good one.
