On tap @ Cardiff Giant. Generous wine glass slurp. Opaque, still, yeasty, orange-yellow beverage. Sweaty glass. What a humid night. Cheesy funk at first whiff. Mild, but stagnant. Something between mushroom & mold. The glass is sweating heavily, it’s aired out enough, Taste is watery, delicate, mineraly. Not really English. Some sharp tangerine sneaks out to say hello, but much of this is a tongue-dulling, yeasty chew session. Moderately tannic & severly lacking any bite. I’m guessing the keg didn’t get the time it needed to settle before being tapped. Ever had a mushy apple from the grocery store? Pretty disappointing, right? That’s what this tastes like. Hoping for a better keg down the road.
