This more serious, wine-like cider has bright acidity and stone fruit character. Its mid-palate sweetness and creamy finish make it a great partner for fatty meats, mushrooms and wash rind cheeses like Brie or Camembert.

Bottle from this quirky store we visited while traveling through Staunton, Va on the way to somewhere not as quaint & pretty. Tulip pour. Pours like a flat Heineken. Smells of stone fruit, acidy apples & lettuce. Very mild. Taste is of melon rind, white wine, stems & yeast. Tacky, runny feel. Moderately acidic, soft tannins, faintly sour & not at all tart. This is missing a big chunk of character right down the middle. Right now it just tastes & feels like mellow, watered down Church wine.
