(Bottle) Black colour with brief, foamy, beige head. Malty, roasty nose with notes of dark chocolate, oak wood, ripe plums, black coffee, butterscotch, liquorice, toffee and nougat. Malty, roasty, sweet taste with dark chocolate, oak wood, blueberries, black coffee, toffee, butterscotch, dark bread, liquorice, vanilla and a sweet and boozy finish with a fairly low cacao bitterness. Full body, really sweet. Rich, thick, slightly boozy and quite smooth. Really tasty. Great beer.

Ok intensity in the aroma.
Not to sweet for a beer like this.
Mellow carbonation level.
Dark malt, roast, oak, fruity and mild bourbon in the flavor.

Svart med brunt skum. Mørk sjokolade, hasselnøtter, havre, noe bourbon og mørke bær. Fyldig. Smaker mørk sjokolade, kaffe, nøtter, tobakk, svarte bær og blomster. Lang.

Black, sliver of chocolate milk coloured foam. Smell is sweet, blueberries, bourbon, chocolate. Thick, super smooth, hardly any booze. Taste is interesting, way more balanced and beery than the base. Definitely lactose, chocolate, blueberry, cake, bourbon.. Ending on a nice bitterness even, not all sweet. Got some age to it, maybe the bourbon helped, but it's a different animal to the base. Still delish, but different.

Bourbon and something fruity in the nose, flat, no head. Some alcohol with chocolate, thick and sweet. Something dark berryish but not obvious blueberry. Really rich and longlasting flavor. Beautifully balanced. Excellent.

Keg at CW Family & Friends, Session 2 @Manchester Central, 22/02/20. Black with a tan cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, roast malts, mellow berry fruits, toffee, dark malts. Taste comprises chocolate melt, mellow bourbon, sweet berry compote, brown sugars, hint of coffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid sipper.
