Keg at the Star & Garter, Bromley. Black pour with a beige head. Lots of blueberry and biscuit in the nose ably assisted by some dark fruit, blackberries, raisin, baked bread, a modicum of coffee. Flavours of liquid cheesecake, bourbon, vanilla, raisin, bonfire toffee, coconut. Bags of booze in the mouthfeel. Long, long alcohol burn. Excellent slow sipping, contemplative and well balanced brew.

Vom Fass bei der TapTakeoverParty von Dugges im Muted Horn Berlin 2017-06 getrunken. Wie schon das einfache Anagramm einfach ein geiles Zeug im Glas. Das BA Bourbon transportiert sehr gut die Blaubeernoten. Die 14,5% sind echt mächtig am Gaumen doch immer noch sehr stimmig. Ein HighEnd Stout.

Poured up at Ratebeer Best 2017 Beer Fest where it exhibits a deep dark body that supports a mocha colored head of foam. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts and chocolate and then just loads of jammy berries and currant candy notes and then some residual kind of molasses like sugars toward the end of the draw. Wow! The taste is smooth, rich and complex yet restrained complexity with dark roasted malts, a dash of burnt malts, chocolate and then kind of a berry to blueberry jamminess that’s flowing just under a smooth sweet bourbon sensation. This creates just a great balance of jammy blueberry, roasty chocolate goodness and smooth bourbon all sliding effortlessly into the finish creating a terrific blend of flavors. Wow!

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours black with brownish foam. Aroma is very sweet, remembering of candies from candy stores. Also some marshmallow and a little strawberry. Body is not particularly dense, low carbonation. Taste is obviously very sweet, with a hint of subsequent bitterness. Finish is long and somehow spicy.

Keg at the Hop Locker. Pours black with a dirty tan head that vanishes quick. Aroma is minty chocolate, blueberries and a hint of coffee. Taste is after eight mint with blueberries, a little booze and a chocolate, coffee and coconut finish. Really smooth and fantastic.

[1/28/17] Bottle/Draught at RateBeer Best festival in Santa Rosa. Black with a brown head. Chocolate, vanilla, cheesecake, some berries, bourbon, very sweet, cake, a bit boozy.

On tap at hotd. Pours a pitch black color with a small beige head. A big sweet fruity cofffe and roast nose. The flavor is big berry, bourbon, sugary, lactose, licorice. Lovely. Huge hot beast.

200ml draught at Omnipollos Hatt. A creamy, tan-coloured head over a pitch black body. Scattered lacing. Blueberry aroma, hints of black malts. Blended taste of blueberry, wood, cheese and chocolate. Lingering endnotes with a bourbon touch. Full bodied. Comprehensive and tasty slow sipper (Stockholm 25.11.2016).
