Small slightly fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, nice clear deep red color. Aroma is slightly sweet sour-ish fruity, sugar, sour black currants, honey, grass, fruit stones, berry skin, minerals, sorrel. Taste is slightly sour-ish sweet, sorrel, soda powder, grass, dry black currants, fruit stones, minerals, berry skin, honey, paper, citrus acid, paper, heather. Medium bitterness, slightly sour-ish dry mouthfeel. Nice and interesting.

Third from keg at Bundobust, Leeds. Pours maroon brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of watermelon, cherry, cherry-cola, with sour notes. Medium sweetness, contrasting well with the level of subtle sour. Medium body, sticky texture, above average carbonation. Finish is dry and sweetness level becomes dominant.

Keg at Warpigs, 13/08/16. Cherry red with a decent crimson cap. Nose is cherry Locketts, mellow red berry, damp straw. Taste comprises cherry menthol notes, honey coughs sweets, light spice, straw, grains. Medium + bodied. Soft oily feel, light boost in the close. Ok mead.

From tap. Pours clear dark Red. No real head. Smell is weak, some fruits. Taste is light, rather bitter/sour and very dry before the Honey Comes and what i’d think are berries. Misses the smoothness, silkyness, and greatness of a true Nice mead
