Sample at the roost is a clear, dark orange with some wispy and clump white head. Nose has some oaky notes, malt and bread. Flavor is the same. Really nice festbier and true to style. Malt and brioche and honey. Just off dry.

Can - clear copper - lively carbonation with a thick head - clean rendition, with medium sweet caramelized malt richness, followed by drier notes of crusty bread and moderate bitterness on the tail end - sweetness level gets closer to a maibock at times, but overall I enjoy it.

12 oz. can purchased at Total Wine - The Rim, San Antonio, TX. Pours a clear bronze color with a large off white head and very good retention. Almost no lacing. Caramel malt aroma. Great sweet caramel malt flavor too, with just enough hops to keep it from being too sweet. Very clean and smooth with lower carbonation. Medium body. Easily repeatable. Well done.
