Bottle. Pours clear black witha small creamy brown head and nice lacing. Aroma is roasty chocolate cardboard. Flavor is about the same, medium sweet with an odd, almost burned rubber note. Medium body, some astringence, light bitterness.

Picked up at Keg and Barrel 15th street in Plano, TX. 12oz bottle pours up dark brown to black with short lived loose mocha head. The aroma is nice with chocolate mixing with dark roasted malts, a touch of caramel and a dash of burnt malts. The aroma is very subtle at times but I find it inviting. The taste begins smooth and somewhat neutral in flavor. It quickly becomes mildly chocolate and burnt. To midway and into the finish it picks up a modest level of caramel – toffee – medium roastiness that helps bring balance to the flavor and bring also some mild dryness into the finish. I like this. The wife does too.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small frothy off white head that diminishes quickly leaving decent spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a sweet fruity malt with raisin and light roast. Thin mouthfeel with a roasty malt with brown sugar and molasses with a nice dry finish. Easy to drink, a good dry stout from Indian Wells.

Bottle from ericandersnavy. Blackout Stout and its not an imperial? Pours with a fading tan head over a deep brown body. Aroma of brown sugar, molasses, chocolate, and cocoa powder. Taste is thin, leathery with coffee grounds. Dry and thin mouthfeel.

Bottle at Whole Foods in Sacramento. Very black color with an emphemeral tan head. Smells burntly toasty. About medium body with creamish carbonation. Flavor is really gritty burnt toast. Goes on to a touch of sweetness before finishing burnt, lightly smoky, bitter. It’s an ok thing, and reminds of the original Guinness from 40 years ago. Except the flavor leaves the mouth rather than staying. Arguably a bit short on ingredients.
