Dull reddish. Clear, with no head. Artificial raspberry nose with lots of sugar. Artificial berry taste. Sticky with very light fizz. Boring candy beer - a disgrace to the once-great Liefmans name. You can barely taste any Liefmans in this at all.

Bought in a convenient store in Chelsea, Quebec, and comes in a small metal bottle. Pours a deeper red than average, looking like raspberry punch with lots of bubbles hanging at the bottom. The head is pink, creamy-foamy, and leaves good lacing. Nice cherry scent with a touch of nut, like almond. Refreshing and just mildly tarty mouthfeel. Sweet cherry taste, but not too killer sweet. This light kriek is recommended to those who find the real kriek too sweet and powerful.

Pours deep, clear ruby into a tumbler. Bright pink head with medium retention recedes with scant spiders to hug rim. Cherry bomb aromas. Musty, sweet candied cherries turning to a cherry biscuit finish. Sweet, but well made.

Had at the beer festival in Gent, I’m sure there were ads for Fruitesse around Brussels, quite certain this one is not retired! Good mix of cherry and raspberry flavours, slightly sweet, definitely a syrup taste and I doubt they used a completely natural bunch of berries here. Nonetheless it’s a refreshing drink.

Bottle: Pours bloody red with a pink head. Lots of sweet cherry in both nose & taste. Sugary, syrupy & somehow one dimensional but still quite drinkable! OK

25 cL bottle. Pours clear and deep golden imperial red to towards purple, lacing pink head. Dense cherry and mild almond aroma. Flavour is sweet, light citric and solid cherry fruity with both a little bite and mild almond note. Acidic to citric cherry lingering flavour into the finish. I honestly like this one, may be artificial but in a good way.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is clear ruby. Aroma and taste are rich with cherry. A bit artificial, but still very good and refreshing.
