Bottle during RBWG hotel lobby tasting night 1, 19/02/15 thanks to whomever supplied this one. Murky orange amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is spice, toffee, liquorice, menthol notes - weird aromas here! Taste comprises toffee, musty notes, spice, woody, bitter fruit rinds, spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not good, harsh and mixed up.

22oz bottle, split with some co-workers after hours. Poured a hazy brown color with a small white head. Aroma was light caramel, sweet nutmeg, eggnog. Flavor actually kind of reminds me a bit of the nougat within a 3 Musketeers candy bar. Interesting. Alcohol pretty well hidden, at least in the 8oz or so I had of this.

Bottle shared during the first Late Nite session of RBWG 2015. Pours somewhat murky amber with a slight, tan cream head. The aroma has a wintery spice mix along with licorice. Medium sweet flavor, lots of sugary toasted wheat bread, winter spices, black licorice. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, a little yeast, certainly spicy. Tasty enough.

750ml bottle pours a hazy brown with some spitty, eggshell head. Nose has a big punch of pint and licorice, pepper, cinnamon. Flavor is a spicy mess, pepper, ginger, mint, licorice. Full bodied, hot, spicy finish. A bit of a train wreck.

Bold spearmint nose, reminds me of Freshen up gum. Murky ochre, thick yellow head. Bubble gum, apricot, licorice, gingerbread, creamsicle, and lemon zest. Medium body, soft carbonation. Nice balance and excellent complexity. Lots of new flavors I’ve never found in beer before. Innovative and trippy. Spice seems to be the dominant characteristic of this beer, so it probably should be moved from weizen bock to Spice/Herb/Vegetable. Uprated repeatedly.

Bomber from the brewery. Pours a hazy rust-brown with a thin frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of anise, nutmeg, eggnog. The taste is caramel, booze, spice, anise, tart fruits. Medium bodied, high carbonation, strong lingering spice. Solid but a little too anise dominated.
