On tap at Loyal Legion. Pours clear gold with white head. Aroma has pretty subtle notes of dank and piney hops. Flavour is clean and dank, pine resin, chewy malts. Incredible WC hop expression, clean and crisp while still being dank and resinous.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange with medium creamy white head. The aroma is grapefruit, pine, and dank. Medium mouth, light bitterness, hops have mellowed, tropical fruit, very juicy. Really enjoyed this.

Bottle from 06/06.2014. Aroma is fairly fruit forward with quite a bit of tropical fruit, lighter citrus and stone fruit and light pineapple. Moderate grapefruit and citrus with a moderately strong dank and resinous backbone. Light caramel and cracker malt notes. Pours a dull, hazy, orange with hints of copper and a small, white head with decent retention. Medium light lacing and medium legs. Flavor has a decent malt backbone, a little stronger than I would prefer with some caramel, toasted bread and crackers. Moderate tropical fruit notes with quite a bit of dank resinous and woody notes. Finish is a bit herbal with onion. Moderately strong citrus notes. Moderately high bitterness with light alcohol spice. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright IPA but I prefer them drier and with less malt character. The caramel gives it a flabby, almost old character. Nice hop fruit notes, but the dankness turns a bit onion and garlic in the finish.

Tasting at Matt’s
Cloudy deep blond color. The aroma is extremely hoppy, resiny, fruity, very pungent. Lean body; not much malt, the flavor is just pure hop juice, with the moderate amount of sugar to make it pleasant; the hopping is very pungent, resiny, and then fruity, with bitter oranges in the final.
Excellent.
