In our effort to combine the British tradition of "afternoon tea" and our American "happy hour", we blended Earl Grey tea and lemon into an ESB. Aromatic, balanced and delicious. Please consume pinkies up.

Notes from a while ago. Copper pour with white head. Grassy and malty notes in aroma. Cracker and tea in the taste, with a bit of orange. Pleasant finish.

Amber, thin head. Fruity, lemony hop, with a fair bit of bergamot note, has a toasty, blueberry taste with a fair bit of bergamot character. Ok...decent like a special amber.

On tap at Portland Craft, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out English malt, toasted bread and a touch of hops. Flavour is true to style, being a little more malt-heavy than hop-heavy, with English bready malt and English hops in good balance. Clean and easy to drink. Solid for the style.

Draught at Portland Craft, Vancouver
Hazy golden color. Expect nothing like an ESB, and no bergamot, I even wonder if I got the right beer; it’s a crunchy, crisp Golden Ale, with moderate bitterness, fresh, nice.

On tap at Alibi room. Pours an almost clear gold with a white weak head. Aroma is a little bit dirty with bergamot, tea and slight berries notes. Taste is slightly hoppy bitterness, fresh flowers. Pleasant. Slightly bitter aftertaste with bready notes. Good for refreshment.

On tap at the brewery. Pours hazy copper gold with medium creamy off white head that lasts. The aroma is toast, Earl Grey tea, cereal. Medium mouth, similar flavors to nose, caramel, very good.

I love Earl Grey, and this was fun. On tap at the production brewery. Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head. A big fruity oranges nose, hell this smells like fruit loops. The flavor is candied oranges, herbal notes, a light toasted malt, lemons. Very good.
