Lots of sediment in the bottle, vercloudy. Almost no head. Yeast and pear in the aroma. Sweet, sugary flavor with vegetables and hops. Hardly any lacing. Slightly metallic aftertaste. Disappointing beer. Rochefortoise version: 6 2 5 2 9 = 2.4. Caulier version: Blonde with the tiniest chunks of yeast. Honey aroma with a touch of citrus. Hoppy, citric, honeyish flavor. Flowery. Friendly blonde, medium bodied.

Pours rather dark , clear blonde. Nearly no head. Smell is intense madeira, taste is extremely oxidized, probably the most I’ve had so far. Pure madeira sweetness. Over the top for sure, none other components are there to taste anymore.

Caulier version. Golden blonde, hazy, yeasty with dryish fruitiness, bit thin body, herbal hops in the finish.

Bottle, 6.2%. 2 years past BB date. Nasty metal aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Frothy white head. The flavour is better than the aroma, but nothing special. Yeasty with some OK esters. A bit acidic. OK mouthfeel and slight metallic aftertaste. Drinkable, but hopefully better fresh.

Bottled. Cloudy yellow, brief head. Deep papery aroma. Plenty of grassy hops, restrained fruitiness and some herbal spices. Medium body and bitterness. Well balanced and rather easy going belgian ale.

(Bottle 33 cl) This is the original version from Brasserie Rezette/Rochefortoise in Rochefort/Eprave. Golden, hazy beer with a nice head. Lovely soft and mild ale with a pleasant low (sort of...) alcohol. If it wasn’t for the bitter finish you could almost mistae this for a Witbier. 151297

An unclear yellow beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet wheaty with notes of coriander, while the flavor just is sweet with notes of wheat.

Fully hazy yellow with greenish shine, witbier-like; preposterously huge, snow-white head, very dense but not remaining. Vanilla, double cream (really lactic) nose, citrus and at the end again coffee cream or something similar. Very meaty yeast-flavours, the one from Caulier. Off-bitter flavour, more (root)herbal than hoppy, a bit phenolic. Fresh but faint citrusflavour overlying. Creamy texture, again like a lactic-fruit drink; medium bodied. Long lactic-sourish aftertaste. Surprising beer, obviously straight from the Caulier stable. Not off-putting, but a bit weird.

Cloudy golden color. Nice malty aroma with some yeast, with orange peel, apple. The mouthfeel is too dry and simple, less original than the aroma, similar to a Triple. Light residual sweetness.
