Half pour on tap at the brewery. It's a clear red-dark amber with nice sparkle, cap of creamy beige head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is typical sweet grainy malt. Taste follows aroma bordering on caramel. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, a competent version of the style.

Cherry, caramel malt, and weedy hay aroma. Dark amber with moderate tan head. Moderately sweet cherry, caramel rye malt, and mildly bitter fresh hay and mineral flavor. Okay body. Nice.

Delicious red ale. Notes of toasted pumpernickel, caramel, cocoa, and apple, with hints of date and grass. Finishes yeasty and dry. Nice pint.

Pour is a redish brown with a large tan head. Aroma is a pretty decent caramel and chocolate malt. Flavor is a little on the thin side with some a decent chewy sweet malt. Not much of a hop profile was there but I guess that is to be expected for the style. Not a style I usually go for but I guess this was decent at least for a single can. I hope they start putting more of their more exotic beers they brew in cans as well.

Keg at the Royale - St. Louis. Pours clear copper with a creamy, off-white head. The nose holds toasted grains, faint caramel. Light-medium sweet flavor with some earthy bitterness, husky grains, toasted caramel, bread, leaves, faint pine. Medium bodied with average carboantion. Finishes with a bit of oily pine, orange rind, diesel, more grains and bread, understated toast and toffee. Not bad overall.

Growler, pours a murky orange with a all beige head. Aroma and flavour of bready notes, some faded vegetal notes and just enough hops. Boring stuff. Nothing much going on here. Meh.

Growler at RBSG Grand Tasting. Pours a hazy copper with small white head. The aroma is yeast and grass. Medium mouth, grass, light bitter finish, decent.
