American Pale Ale with Calypso and Mosaic hops. Made by Doug Pominville.
Our Grunion Pale Ale wasn’t born on a beach, but in a backyard. Originating from an employee-only home brew contest, this award-winning hoppy pale ale is named after the tiny local fish known for late night frolics on shore. A pair of new hop varieties lend strong yet balanced summer melon aromas and herbal flavors, while a soft caramel malt sweetness holds it all together.

Canned, thanks Ali. Clear pale amber, mid sized head. Sweaty tangerine aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with sweaty citrus. Long bitter finish. Straightforward.

Clear deep golden color with a fine off white head. Good intensity in the aroma. Fine carbonation level and nice hoppy tail. A bit sweet, although it has an ok bitterness. Grapefruit hoppy, dried fruits, malty and pine in the flavor.

Burk från SB. Ganska enkelspårig klassisk västkust-IPA i lite snällare mått.

Topp!

Can 35,5 cl. Pours a clear golden with a white head. First sniff is a total shocker, as it comes out completely like onion - WTF?? I know some hops have that character, but I haven't really experienced it bedore. Light in body, there's some fruity notes in there with a little caramel, but the onion notes lingers on and refuses to die. Not pleasant at all. 090119

Can. A lightly hazy golden colored beer with a small off-white head. The aroma has pine cones, resin and some fruity, flowery notes. It's full bodied, smooth and soft, with a nice bitterness. Some pale malts and a touch of caramel in the flavor, with piney, resiny hops. Lasting hop driven finish. A nice beer indeed. 181221

355 ml can from Systembolaget, bb 10-19. Golden-amber, clear body, with a medium, fluffy, lacing, off-white head. Aroma of passion fruit flesh, dankness, wet grass, resin, pine, grapefruit. Tastes similar, while a bit lighter. Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation. Finishes medium bitter, medium dry, dank, citric, resinous, moderate piney, fruity, with tropical fruits. Very nice. Surprisingly dank throughout, while without the juiciness of NE style IPAs, so like a hybrid of west and east coast IPAs. Very crisp and fruity to drink, easy like an APA. Beautiful stuff. Score: 8 / 4 / 7 / 4 / 15

355 ml bottle from Beergium.
Amber, clear body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, off-white head.
Dense, complex aroma of grapefuit, pine, dankness, apricot, pineapple and other tropical fruits, biscuit.
Tastes quite similar, but with even more lovely pine needles.
Medium, a bit oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, dry, subtly sweet, piney, citric, fruity, a bit juicy, slightly dank.
Wow this is tasty! Surprisingly complex for a Pale Ale, with loads of fruits, pine and even some fresh, dank notes. Very crisp, with a refreshingly dry finish. The balance is outstanding, although complex and very aromatic like an IPA, it’s easier to drink. Among my favourite style examples I’ve had so far!
