750ml bottle pours a translucent, thick looking pinkish, rose color with a thin, clumping white head. There’s also an abundance of small, tight bubbles indicating high carbonation. Aroma is all raspberries with some alcohol, a little banana and some underlying funk. Flavor is again very strong with raspberries and strawberries with some white grapes, grass, a little bit of wood and a touch of band aid like funk. Mouth feel detracts a little bit with very very high carbonation, almost like a cheap bottle of champagne. There is almost no sign of the heavy alcohol, and despite the carbonation this brew goes down very easy. I think that it might have benefited from a bit less raspberry flavor and a bit more in terms of the developed Brett flavors. For what it’s worth, my girlfriend loved it.

Shared by goldtwins. Pours a murky amber with a purplish hue. Aroma is vomit-raspberries and sour prunes. Not totally into it (it was late, my ratings must have been getting very creative). Taste is very alcoholic raspberries and very sweet, too sweet. I had no idea this was so strong until just now, well that explains a lot. Good damn Weyerbacher does it to me again.

2008. Aroma is jam cherry juice with wild characteristics. Flavor is lightly woody sweet and still very jammy. Actually very nice, vibrant flavors and above average carbonation. 8/3/8/3/16.
2009. Very similar to the 2008 but has a strong acetic kick at the end of the flavor. 8/3/7/3/15.
2010. Much more acetic all around, particularly in the aroma. Still decent sour beer. Alcohol more present. Has lost the jammy character and more of an amped up acetic sour. 7/3/7/3/15.
2011. The pattern grow and this version was just strong acetic and alcohol. Extremely sour on the back end. 6/3/6/3/14
Bottom line: Apparently I like this with age and not at all when young.

Bottle shared by goldtwins - whoa, I didn’t realize this beer was so strong - no wonder it seemed a bit sweet - cloudy, medium red beer - aroma of earthy, semi-tart, slightly overripe raspberries - smells a bit like NG Raspberry Tart, only with the slightest bit of funk in the background - tastes like raspberry syrup, and malic acid (it almosts tastes like the beer was too sweet, so they threw some in to kick the sourness up a notch) - there is some well-developed brett funk happening, but the sweetness and seemingly artificial tartness distract from it too much - I’m a fan of raspberries, so I didn’t find this terrible, but this experiment wasn’t a very good idea.

I was working part time in a five-and-dime My boss was Mr. Mcgee He told me several times that he didnt like my kind cause I was a bit too leisurely
Seems that I was busy doing something close to nothing But different than the day before Thats when I saw her, ooh, I saw her She walked in through the out door, out door
She wore a Raspberry beret The kind you find in a second hand store Raspberry beret And if it was warm she wouldnt wear much more Raspberry beret I think I love her
Built like she was She had the nerve to ask me If I planned to do her any harm
So, look here I put her on the back of my bike And-a we went riding Down by old man johnsons farm
I said now, overcast days never turned me on But something about the clouds and her mixed
She wasnt too bright But I could tell when she kissed me She knew how to get her kicks
She wore a Raspberry beret The kind you find in a second hand store Raspberry beret And if it was warm she wouldnt wear much more Raspberry beret I think I love her
The rain sounds so cool when it hits the barn roof And the horses wonder who you are Thunder drowns out what the lightning sees You feel like a movie star
Listen They say the first time aint the greatest But I tell ya If I had the chance to do it all again I wouldnt change a stroke cause baby Im the most With a girl as fine as she was then
(raspberry beret) The kind you find (the kind you find) The kind you find (in a second hand store) Oh no no (raspberry beret) (and if it was warm) Where have all the raspberry women gone? (she wouldnt wear much more) Yeah (raspberry beret) I think i... I think i...
