Corked 750 from Final Gravity. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Light ginger aroma with treacle and perhaps lime. Near full bodied. Flavor is ginger, with some treacle, citrus, bourbon, maybe rum, and quite a lot of other things. It’s somewhat tart, and pretty tasty. --- Beer merged from original tick of Gingersnaps on 01 Jun 2015 at 14:32 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8.5. 750ml bottle pours a murky, deep brown with some foamy, beige head. Nose is weird, loads of tarragon, a lot of cork, black licorice, acid. Flavor has lots of lime and ginger, sour cola, rotten work, heavy cork. Full bodied, tart finish.

Bottle courtesy of Mark and shared with the Shape crew. Spelled Gingersnap, 2013 anno, @ 12.1% abv.

On tap at Cascade, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small tan head. Aroma brings out notes of ginger, brandy and bourbon barrels, and some odd spices. Flavour is very rich and complex, with ginger, followed by bourbon and brandy. Quite warming. Not usually a fan of ginger-infused beers, but the blending is wonderful here. Wonderful stuff.
