Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is belgian yeast, pure sugar, spice, roasted coffee. Medium mouth, similar flavors to nose, bitter finish, good.

Draft at Kern River Brewing (they called it ER Belgian Amber coffee) Nose is lots of dark coffee and roast with a bit of sweet candisugar but the coffee dominates (or from the name stimulates). Clear copper orange with a small offwhite head. Flavor is black dark roasted coffee, a hint of bitterness and contrasting sweetness. Finishes with a hint of roasty smoky coffee.

On tap. Belgian Ale? Not so much. Pours with a hazed golden to orange body with a lasting off-white head. Aromas are big time roasty with some light, slightly dank hops. Biscuity, fresh coffee. A hint grassy. Very different. Flavors are malty, bready, warm. Light coffee and a mild bitterness. A few stray esters. Nice, just coffee, no roast astringency. Medium bubbles. Finishes dry. Very nice.
