Cinnamon and some roasted malt in the aroma. Sweetish taste with some roasted malt, liquorice and coffee. Bitter aftertaste. Not bad.

Bottle of unknown age. Pours clear, very dark brown to black, withoud real foam. Smell is port, sweet, some notes of red fruits, almost. Taste is completely flat. Oxidation, port, ok mf but the 0 carbonation makes it a tough one to drink or enjoy. Fun to have tried, but no, thanks.

Backlog from around 2000. Roasty malt, caramel, coffee, hint of liquorice, opaque dark brown, frothy head, medium malty sweetness, slightly bitter, roasty dry finish that lasts long, surprisingly light mouthfeel. Very good.

Thanks to Cheeseman for sharing this one. Pours dark brown, quickly flat with some golden lace. Aroma had some old vinegary nose with hints of malt. Flavor had clear oxidized notes though the overall profile remained nice. Some chocolate malts, hints of coffee and toffee, light caramel. Finishes a little flat. This could have been a nice gem years ago.

Big thanks to TheCheeseMan for this really old brew. It pours murky dark brown and still. The aroma is musty dark fruity notes, musty sticky sweetness, chocolate, vanilla and dusty molasses covered cardboard. The taste is thin and flat feeling feebly ushering in notes of chocolate, molasses, cardboard, dirty dusty leather and caramel. This bottle is likely a decade past its prime. All things considered it was an enjoyable experience that I feel lucky to have partaken in.

Hardly any head. What little there is is light brown and coarse. Opaque black body. Sweet, syrupy aroma with notes of flour, oil, and chocolate. Taste is sweet and chocolatey, with notes of syrup and light marzipan. Dryish, coffeeish aftertaste. Light, delicate, and very nice. (0.3l bottle.)
