Bottle from Bu11zeye. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of plummy dark fruit, anise, cognac, raisin, molasses raisin cookie, maybe chocolate. Med + body. Flavor is treacle, plum/raisin, chocolate. A little heat. Like barrel aged, tho it isn’t. What a treat. Finishes chocolate cognac.

Opaque dark brown - black beer with a good pale tan head. Lights spices on the nose. Palate is soft and dry with fine carbonation. Sweetish malt, some cream. Coca cola and mild generic dark fruits. Touches of mellow cinnamon and cloves. Finishes semi dry with with light candy fruits. Comes together very well. Nice beer!

12 ounce bottle. Pours a dark somewhat murky color with a medium beige head. A sweet sugary nose with berries, candies, some toffee and yeast. The flavor is sweet big sugary flavors, berries, strawberry especially, some caramel, a bit of dark porter elements slipping in here. Really nice twist on a great style.

Bottle thanks to angrypirate06 (best before 10.08.13). Pours with a deep brown hued body, not quite black, with a tan head that has medium retention. Aromas are quite boozy, dates, dark fruit, lightly spicy, roasty, figs, chocolate, dry and estery. Flavors are kind of sweet, a bit of wet dog, boozy, sticky marmalade, very warming, fruity esters, dried fruits, dates, ripe plums, estery. Very warming, dry finish with lively carbonation.

Bottle - thanks Sean! Pours clear deep ruby-black with a small light brown head that dissipates with good lacing. Aroma is yeas, spices, dried fruit, molasses. Flavor is the same, medium sweet, ABV well masked throughout. Very tasty beer.
