Our curiosity continues with an intensely kettle and dry hopped Double IPA primarily featuring Amarillo! The base of Twenty Seven is straightforward to allow the unique and intriguing characteristics of Amarillo to shine. We experience flavors and aromas of grapefruit flesh, tangerine, and peach. It evokes memories of 22… Our house yeast provides a familiar character and intermingles beautifully with this precious and distinctive hop. Despite its focused and intense flavors, this Curiosity drinks softly… dangerous and beautiful.

Can from Jeff, thanks for the hookup! Hazy lemon yellow with a decent sized frothy white head that persists. Huge tropical and citrus with hints of earth and pine. Faint bread to back it up. Honestly one of the best hazy ipas I've had in a long time.

Can, by way of an impromptu, supermarket car park trade in VT. 8.0%. Very hazy gold. Thin, dense, lasting, sticky, white head. Nose has peach stone. Grapefruit juice. Maybe some damson like stone fruit. Some woody, herbal, slightly medicinal notes. It’s a little odd, overall. Taste has a curious, woody dryness. Lots more of that stone fruit thing. Minimal juiciness to this one. It’s a bit yeasty, actually. Medium body. Soft carbonation. The stone fruit thing starts to get a bit cardboard like toward the finish. It’s 16 days old but it could be 16 weeks old.

Growler thanks to Seth. Pours a cloudy orange yellow with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is tropical fruit, grass, melon. Medium body, grass, melon, light bitter finish, very good.

Mid-sized white head shows moderately strong retention and tops a golden-honey-maize body that shows moderate haze.
Took a long time sniffing this bad boy and it is very aromatic, of course, with melon and lime. Grain and very light honey hang in the back. All sorts of tropical fruits and round peachy-mango being front and center. Soft minerals and no alcohol or flaw. Just pure lovely hops and no trace of resin or tang. No messy esters from the yeast, either.
Very nice, malty texture with a good honey sweetness. Watermelon, limeskin, nectarine and white peach all provide soft, fruity notes. Ample, low bitterness and spritzy carbonation. Pretty straightforward offering but as always, impeccably well-brewed.
