Bottle at home, picked up at the brewery by Mr Bois. Cheerz! It pours black with a medium tan head. The nose is rich coffee, earth, roasted malt, toasted coconut, vanilla, dirt, light spice, fudge and mild acidity. The taste is rich, toasty, pervasive coffee, chocolate, some acidity, toast, hit of bitterness, tar, alcohol warmth, charred wood and bourbon with a warming finish. Medium-full body and fine, prickly carbonation. Pretty big on the sweet coffee. Packs quite a punch for the abv. Nice, but definitely a sipper.

Bottle at home, picked up at the brewery, 13/04/14. Black with a moderate tan head that thins to a swirl that looks a little like ET ! Nose is light roast, sweet aromas, coffee, cola cubes, subtle Jacky D comes into play. Taste comprises milk chocolate, well pitched JD, coffee blast, molasses, light roast, dark toffee fudge. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweet close laced with subtle JD. Solid BA stout, the level of JD is spot, sweet but not overly so, excellent balance.
