2014-10-25, bottle from Københavnske Øldage 2009, 8-4-8-4-17=
Black oily liquid with barely any head. Fantastic dark chocolate and leather concoction, rich; a bit old, but it’s maturing beautifully.
2009-05-16, bottle at Københavnske Øldage 2009, 8-4-7-4-15=38
Black color, oily. Very nice American style aroma: roasted malt, hops, glue, phenol. Very strong body, a bit oily, roasted malt flavor, liquorice, chocolate; quite strong alcohol feeling, light sourness. The final, very bitter, is maybe a bit harsh. Too much.

Bottle, on Copenhagen Beerfestival. A black beer with just some tan bubbles as a head. Alcohol, coffee, some roast and a heavy maltyness, tending towards beefstock. Alcohol and sweetness in the mouth, with coffee and roasted malts drying it up. Beefstock and some licorice blend in. Flat, alcohol-warm and sugary. Warm finish with coffee and sweetness. A bit too much alcohol in this one, but I like it. Wise to have it in a nipsize bottle. (090516)

Bottle 25 cl. Pours completely pitch black with no head - pure motor oil. Distinctly burned aroma of black malts and massive alcohol. Quite full-bodied, completely flat, wood and sherry notes, loads of burned malts with a heavily alcoholic finish. Pretty damned extreme! 160509

Bottle at KØ09. Mild vinous aroma. Black colour. The flavour is quite peppery. Nicely sweet with a hint of smoke and vanilla. Good.

My 2700th rating. 25cl bottle at KBH-Festival, 2009. Waaauw. This kind of reminds me of nogne ø’s, dark horizon 1st. edition. Pours pitch black with a creamy brown head and lacings. Oily, slick, vinous, smooth and phat palate. Lots of coffee, vanilla and chocolate. Well balanced and overall just very complex and tasty. Alcohol well hidden considering its 16%. Lovely!
