355ml bottle [at 9.9% abv, 40 IBU]. Almost opaque, dark chestnut colour with weak ruby shimmer and small, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, dark beige head. BA supported, sweet-ish, minimally toasty, caramel malty, minimally spicy, rye malty and herbal-floral alcoholic aroma, hints of toffee, caramel, some herbal liqueur, a touch of mint, woodruff, aniseed. Taste is sweet-ish and spicy, slightly toasty, rye and caramel malty, herbal-floral alcoholic, notes of aniseed, mint, woodruff, a touch of menthol, some toffee, caramel, nougat; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Slightly oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, and scattered, but prickly, efficacious carbonation. Unusual, very interesting compostion with well matching components - very good! Not the rating with the highest score I've ever given, but definitely one of the most delicious beers I've ever had.

Tap. Pours hazy chestnut, large beige head, good lacing. Aroma is heavy, brandy, vanilla, oak, toffee, nutmeg, allspice, dates, figs. Flavor is really sweet, light bitter. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. This totally drinks like a winter warmer.. not what i expected.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a dark brown hue with a small white head. A big woody nose, vinous, tobacco. Hints of sour grapes, big malt base, caramel, cocoa, certainly some spices, almost blends into pumpkins, the barrel is so big.
