Double Mango Double Dry Hopped Double IPA

Crucial Crucial Aunt Aunt is the double mango double dry-hopped version of our flagship double IPA Crucial Taunt. We actually used about 2.5 times the amount of mango purée in this batch, but who's counting! This one is cray cray fo' sho.

Can at Black Squirrel. Pours cloudy golden apple, medium off white head, dissipates slowly, good lacing. Aroma is very juicy dankness, tropical fruit, pot, hints of pine, passionfruit, mango. Flavor is light plus sweet, light plus bitter, tropical and dank, lingering bitterness and fruit. Reminds me of the milk shake series from tired hands, which is not a bad thing. Pretty solid effort at a NE style IPA. Me happy. It was served just a tad warm for my tastes, but that is no knock on the beer itself.

Can pour at Black Squirrel NKOTB pours a muddy pineapple gold with some swirling white head. Nose is nice, heavy pineapple and guava, a little green vanilla bean, honey, candy, a little grist, some yeast. Flavor is sweet with tropical fruit and candy, bitter with lime and tangerine, some soap, some oats, a little unrefined sugar. Finishes creamy, a touch tannic too.
